A vibrant brand identity for a leader in the whole foods space.

Simple Mills has been a pioneer in the whole foods space since its founding, with a reputation for clean, nutritious foods with nothing artificial, ever. Today, however, clean ingredients, “free from” claims, and allergen alternatives have become points-of parity for all better-for-you brands. Simple Mills needed to break through the clutter, to proudly shout their people and planetary mission, and to start getting credit for what is in their products. The brand also needed to differentiate more across aisles — to better stand out and appeal to varying category and consumer needs.

Vibrant, energetic, and hand-crafted, we created a new brand world and asset toolbox that celebrates the brand’s purposeful ingredients and pioneering agricultural practices. We amplified the sun — an iconic asset for the brand — and paid tribute to nutrient rich ingredients with a colorful, dynamic illustration style. We then built a new brand architecture to bring the system to life, flexing to express different product promises in different categories. A new brand claim unifies the portfolio and boldly displays Simple Mills’ commitment to people and planetary wellness.
